Position Overview:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in the growth and
success of a BPO company by identifying and generating new business opportunities. The
SDR will be responsible for lead generation, cold calling, email outreach, and qualifying
inbound and outbound prospects. This position is ideal for an energetic and results-driven
individual who is motivated to contribute to the company’s sales pipeline and work closely
with the sales and marketing teams to expand the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Qualification:
Research and identify potential leads and target accounts in the BPO industry.
Reach out to prospects through cold calls, emails, and social media to introduce the
company’s services and solutions.
Qualify inbound leads and determine their level of interest, potential fit, and budget.
Follow up on marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and convert them into sales-qualified leads
(SQLs). - Sales Outreach:
Engage with prospects and generate interest in the company’s BPO services (e.g.,
customer support, technical support, back-office services).
Schedule appointments and set up meetings for the sales team to close deals.
Manage and update leads in CRM systems to track outreach and follow-ups. - Collaboration with Sales Team:
Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers to understand customer needs,
tailor messaging, and improve outreach strategies.
Transfer qualified leads to the sales team for further follow-up and closure. - Market Research & Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Conduct research to understand the pain points of potential clients and position the
company’s services accordingly. - Reporting & Performance Tracking:
Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospects in CRM (e.g., Salesforce,
HubSpot).
Provide regular reports on lead generation performance, outreach activities, and
conversion rates. - Customer Relationship Building:
Build and maintain a strong rapport with prospective clients by understanding their
business goals and pain points.
Provide initial insights and recommendations regarding how the company’s services can
solve customer problems. - Continuous Learning & Improvement:
Participate in sales training and development programs to improve sales skills, product
knowledge, and overall effectiveness.
Continuously refine outreach strategies to improve lead conversion rates and meet sales
targets.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a sales development, lead generation, or B2B sales role, preferably in the BPO or service industry.
- Experience with cold calling, outbound sales, and qualifying leads is highly desirable.
Key Skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage and build relationships with potential clients.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead tracking systems.
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence.
