Job Summary:
Mid-level candidate with at least 3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience, preferably in a global e-commerce setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Weekly Tasks:
- Reconcile bank statements for all accounts, ensuring transactions match payouts, deposits, and withdrawals.
- Track and record multi-currency transactions, applying accurate exchange rates and recording any currency gains or losses.
- Reconcile financial data from e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Shopify, PayPal) with bank deposits, ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare weekly summaries of financial activity for internal reporting.
- Identify and flag any unusual or missing transactions for further investigation.
Monthly Tasks:
- Conduct full reconciliations of all bank and credit card accounts, ensuring clean and accurate records in Xero/QuickBooks.
- Review and categorize all financial transactions from bank statements, ensuring proper allocation to accounts.
- Calculate and record currency exchange adjustments, highlighting the impact of fluctuations on cashflow.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow) based on reconciled data.
- Track and reconcile inventory-related cash transactions to ensure proper COGS calculations.
- Assist in preparing financial summaries for monthly budget analysis and planning.
Yearly Tasks:
- Assist with end-of-year bank reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
- Prepare financial data for tax filings and compliance purposes, including accurate multi-currency reporting.
- Collaborate with accountants or auditors by providing reconciled bank data and supporting documentation.
- Analyze yearly financial trends, including currency exchange fluctuations, and suggest improvements for banking processes.
Other Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and suggest improvements to the bank reconciliation and financial tracking processes.
- Assist in setting up and managing integrations between financial tools and e-commerce platforms for more efficient bank data handling.
Additional Preferences:
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external accountants/auditors.
- Familiarity with “My Real Profit” software is a bonus but not required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks Online with at least 3 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of bank statement reconciliation and categorization of transactions.
- Expertise in handling multi-currency bank accounts and recording currency exchange gains and losses.
- Experience in reconciling e-commerce financial data, including payouts from platforms like Amazon, Shopify, and PayPal.
- Familiarity with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using spreadsheets, formulas, and financial tools for reporting and analysis.
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain 100% accuracy in financial records.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret bank and financial data and provide actionable insights.

Education/Certifications:
