Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a background in online marketing (specifically selling ad spaces on websites) to join our team. This is a non-voice role, focusing on lead generation, client engagement, and the sales process through written communication, including email, chat, and social media outreach. You will be responsible for prospecting new clients, educating them on our ad offerings, and qualifying leads for further engagement by the sales team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a non-voice sales or business development role, preferably in online marketing or advertising (selling ad spaces, digital media, etc.).
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling emails and messages that engage prospects.
- Basic understanding of digital advertising, including banner ads, display ads, and how they are used to drive business outcomes.
- Ability to research and identify prospects using digital tools and databases.
- Goal-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools to track activities and manage leads.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. with Zendesk or customer service platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify potential clients in need of advertising space on websites through online research and targeted outreach methods.
- Reach out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels to generate new business opportunities.
- Client Engagement:
- Engage with potential clients through written communication, introducing them to the value of placing ads on our platforms and understanding their advertising needs.
- Educate prospects on the different types of advertising options available, such as banner ads, display ads, and other digital placements.
- Lead Qualification:
- Qualify leads based on their advertising needs, budget, and decision-making process.
- Set up initial meetings for the sales team or provide qualified leads to the account executives for further follow-up.
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to schedule appointments, provide them with detailed prospect information, and help move qualified leads through the sales pipeline.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as creating proposals and preparing follow-up emails.
- Reporting and Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and sales activities using a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Track and report on sales activities, including emails sent, responses received, and meetings scheduled.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
- Keep up with trends in online marketing and digital advertising to better engage prospects and position our ad offerings effectively.
