The Reliasourcing Sportsfest 2025 officially kicked off with a weekend full of cheers and camaraderie. Held on September 21 and 28, 2025, the much-anticipated event brought together employees across departments and accounts for a shared purpose: to unite the team.
With volleyball, basketball, and cheerdance, Sportsfest 2025 became an opportunity to showcase passion, sportsmanship, and the Reliasourcing spirit that thrives inside and outside the workplace.
Weekends of High Energy
Day 1 opened with a lively parade of teams, each proudly representing their accounts and departments with chants and their muses taking the lead. The day also carried a symbolic moment when HR Director Chrissie led the Players’ Oath, reminding everyone that fair play, respect, and unity remain at the heart of the competition.
From the moment the first whistle blew, the courts overflew with energy as volleyball and basketball matches set the tone for a competitive yet friendly sequence of games. For the first set of games, the basketball qualifiers met their victors, with CS Assassins (basketball team) winning over Peons, Tailor Gang winning over E-Defenders, and Goonz (basketball team) winning over BackOPS. Later, wildcards E-Defenders and BackOPS met with the latter entering the semi-finals.
Come the afternoon, the matches among the volleyball teams secured our finalists: CS Assassins (volleyball team) winning over Goonz (volleyball team), and ReliaFlight winning over TB VolleyVibes.

The excitement didn’t stop on the courts on Day 2, as the basketball teams’ semi-finals led to the championship between BackOPS and Goonz. With the finalists for both basketball and volleyball ready, the championship match commenced, with Goonz (basketball team) and CS Assassins (volleyball team) officially gaining the champion titles.
To keep the energy going, the cheerdance competition brought the audience to its feet with hype and infectious energy, reflecting weeks of preparation and teamwork, which led to the TB Elite Crew coming first with the champions title, CS Assassins (cheerdance team) coming second, and Papaya x Parana coming third. Together, the performances and matches created an atmosphere that reminded everyone that the annual Sportsfest is about building bonds, showing spirit, and pushing limits together.
Employees and Leaders Playing Side by Side
One of the highlights of this year’s Sportsfest was seeing executives and employees teaming up on the same court. Project Manager Alex opened the festivities with an inspiring speech, reminding everyone that the Sportsfest is about building stronger bonds beyond the office walls: “It’s an opportunity for us to build stronger bonds, to showcase our talents, and to remind ourselves that success is always sweeter when achieved together.” That message came to life in the games themselves.
Project Manager Alex

PM Alex suited up with team Goonz in both the volleyball and basketball games, showing that leadership is as much about presence as it is about example. For him, joining the Sportsfest was more about connecting than competing. He described the experience as fun and energizing and added that the event “really brought out everyone’s competitive spirit, but more than that, it showed how strong our teamwork and camaraderie are.”
Playing side by side with his teammates, PM Alex said it broke down walls that often exist in a traditional work setting. He added that it “allowed us to connect on a more personal level, laughing, strategizing, and celebrating together.” He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who participated, “To the entire Reliasourcing family, thank you for your energy, sportsmanship, and passion! The Sportsfest showed that when we work and play together, we can achieve great things while having fun. Let’s carry that same teamwork and enthusiasm back into our daily work. Here’s to more shared victories, on and off the court!”
Operations Director Henie

OD Henie played alongside ReliaFlight, bridging teams and showing collaboration thrives at every level.
Co-Founder and Head of Growth & Strategy Amir Borsok
Amir joined the BackOPS team, where his energy on the basketball court kept the games close and exciting.
For Amir himself, the experience was about breaking down barriers. “Playing with employees is a lot of fun. Usually, in the work setup, we don’t have a lot of chances to interact. So it’s fun to see everyone not wearing headphones or typing on their keyboards… it just shows a different side to each of their personalities, which are all beautiful.”
His teammates from BackOPS admitted that it was both nerve-wracking and motivating to have a co-founder on their side. “Nakakakaba. Pero masarap siyang kakampi, sipag maglaro,” (Nerve-wracking. But it’s great to have him as a teammate, he’s hardworking.), shared teammate Lean, noting how Amir’s energy inspired them to give their best. Meanwhile, their opponents from Goonz—this year’s basketball champions—joked that he was one of the toughest players to match up against. “For me, Sir Amir,” said Edward, while Ace added with a laugh, “Si Sir Amir! Ang sakit ng katawan namin lahat nun.” (Sir Amir! Our bodies were hurting after the game.)

Voices from the Court: Interviews with the Winners
The heart of Sportsfest 2025 is in the stories of those who played their hearts out. From champions to runners-up, each team had a journey that spoke to teamwork and the Reliasourcing culture of community.
Volleyball Champions – CS Assassins

The CS Assassins’ journey to the championship was a story of growth and determination. For Co-Team Captain Marcelle, winning this year was especially sweet, as she remembered how the team started from scratch last year with only a few players who had real volleyball experience. This year, with new teammates joining, they had more strength and confidence to push forward. “We’re so very happy… from last year, we really started from scratch. But now, Reliasourcing hired more people and we have new teammates, which really helped us in this Sportsfest,” she shared.
Her teammate Apple described the win as overwhelming. After missing the chance to play last year, finally stepping onto the court this year and finishing as a champion was beyond her expectations. “Nakaka-overwhelm kasi nakapaglaro ako… di ko inexpect talaga na magcha-champion kami. The best talaga.” (It feels overwhelming… I didn’t expect that we’d become champions. It’s the best feeling.)

The spotlight also shone on Rick, who was named Volleyball MVP. For him, the honor was humbling. “It’s overwhelming. Actually, hindi po ako makapaniwala na I’m the MVP of the match.” (It’s overwhelming. Honestly, I can’t believe that I’m the MVP of the match.) He emphasized how individual recognition is always tied to collective effort, “But this is thanks to my teammates. Of course, not only with my teammates but of course, for the whole RSI family.”
Together, the CS Assassins showed that a team built on trust, persistence, and belief in one another could rise to the very top.
Basketball Champions – Goonz

The back-to-back basketball champions, Goonz, demonstrated the value of experience and composure. For Gelo, who’s a new addition to the team and their team captain for this year’s games, the team’s focus was all about maintaining pace and control, “We just made sure na hindi namin pinapabayaan, inaalagaan lang namin yung lamang namin.” (We just made sure not to let it slip and took care of our lead.) And he was happy to be part of the winning team and their culture, “Masayang mapunta sa team na very competitive kasi maa-adopt mo yung mindset nila.” (It feels great to be part of a very competitive team because you get to adopt their mindset.)
Ace, the team’s shooting guard, highlighted how there was already chemistry at the start, and that they never let mistakes shake their morale: “For example, may nagmimintis. Basketball yan, talagang hindi lahat ng tira maso-shoot. So, bawi na lang sa depensa. (For example, if someone misses a shot. That’s basketball, not every shot is going to go in. So we just make up for it on defense.)

Among the stars of the game, Joshua Infante stood out and was crowned Basketball MVP. Yet, in his eyes, the award wasn’t about individual glory. “Masaya, pero di ko magagawa yun kung wala yung team namin na collective effort yung ginagawa, kaya nakuha rin namin yung back-to-back champion” (It feels great, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without our team’s collective effort, which is why we were able to get the back-to-back championship.), he explained, pointing to how every player’s contribution paved the way to victory.
The Goonz’ repeat win, powered by teamwork and a no-blame culture, showed how a united group can turn skill into lasting success.
Volleyball Runners-Up – ReliaFlight

The ReliaFlight squad may not have taken home the gold, but their story stood out as one of resilience and newfound connection. Many of them were from different accounts and had never played together before, making their runner-up finish even more impressive. “It’s actually a bit unexpected kasi knowing the four teams, there’s one team there na talagang nagva-volleyball na talaga, naglalaro na sila outside. So we’re not expecting that we were going to get the first runner-up pa. (It’s actually a bit unexpected because among the four teams, there’s one team that really plays volleyball outside of work. So we weren’t even expecting to get first runner-up.), shared Sydney, reflecting on the strength of their opponents.
For Domz, the experience was about more than just the games, it was about meeting new people: “This is our first time na ma-meet namin yung isa’t isa, and to play volleyball with them, as well. So, expected pero masaya naman kahit na hindi kami yung nanalo ng championship. (This was our first time meeting each other and playing volleyball together. So the outcome was expected, but it was still fun even if we didn’t win the championship.).
Despite limited preparation, their teamwork and quick chemistry carried them through. Both teammates agreed they’ll return next year, determined to transform their first runner-up finish into a championship run.
Basketball Runners-Up – BackOPS

The BackOPS team faced the toughest competition in this year’s Sportsfest, meeting last year’s champs at the final bout, but proved they could rise to the occasion. For Allan, their approach was simple: “Para sa ‘kin, enjoy lang. Part of the game naman matalo, so walang problema. Kahit matalo, kung mag-champion, edi okay. Kung mag-runner-up, okay lang din.” (For me, just enjoy it. Losing is part of the game, so no problem. If we win the championship, that’s great. If we end up as runner-up, that’s fine too.) Their bond, strengthened by frequent camaraderie in the office, translated into seamless teamwork on the court.
Bonding and teamwork were key ingredients to their strong finish. Allan noted that their frequent bonding sessions at the office carried over into their games, helping them stay cohesive under pressure. Lean shared the same sentiment, adding, “Masaya. Marami kang makikilala. Tsaka binigay din namin best namin. Teamwork.” (It’s fun. You get to meet a lot of people. And we also gave our best. Teamwork.)
For BackOPS, being runner-up was proof of the strong culture of collaboration and unity at Reliasourcing. And their answer to the question of playing again next year? “Syempre, taon-taon naman kaming sumasali.” (Of course, we join every year.)
Leadership on and off the Court
The leadership team’s presence reflected Reliasourcing’s culture of openness and camaraderie.

Co-Founder Amir Borsok highlighted the importance of events like this, “It builds camaraderie, promotes teamwork, and the values that we stand for in the office as well. When given a chance, it’s very important to showcase them outside of the workplace.” He says that at the core of the games, doing it together mattered most, “And I think, at the end of the day, everyone wants to be happy, smile, enjoy the company of one another, and obviously have a healthy lifestyle that will allow us to do this for a very long time.”

Meanwhile, Co-Founder & CEO Yoray Ofek closed Day Two of the Sportsfest with encouragement and gratitude, “It’s good that everyone was participating in the activities. I would like to thank everyone from the management team for taking the effort and making sure these events are happening for everyone’s benefit. I’m a big believer that wellness and being in good mental and physical shape is important. So I’m very happy we take the time to do it.”
Yoray’s message reinforced what Reliasourcing’s annual Sportsfest is all about—balancing hard work with moments of joy and connection.
Beyond the Games
While Sportsfest 2025 focused on competition, it also reinforced the values Reliasourcing holds dear: teamwork, resilience, and inclusivity.
The event, while served as a break from daily work, reminded us of the power of community. Whether on the court, on the sidelines, or in the stands, everyone had a chance to contribute and belong.

Reliasourcing Sportsfest 2025 closed on a high note, but the excitement isn’t over. At the end of Co-Founder and CEO Yoray Ofek’s closing message to the participants, he invites everyone to anticipate the events to come, “As you know, now we are entering the more fun part of the year, so we have a lot to look forward to. We’ll have a lot of fun stuff and activities and celebration,” followed by a gentle reminder to strike a balance in the work we do, “Let’s always remember to balance it with the hard work and dedication for our clients and our partners and our people around.”
More celebrations and stories are still unfolding. As champions rise and memories are made, one thing is certain: Reliasourcing wins together. Congratulations to everyone!
