Reliasourcing’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament returned for its fourth season with a stronger bracket and louder cheers, reminding that competition can bring people together in ways the usual workday rarely does.

Titled Land of Dawn Domination: RSI MLBB Season 4, this year’s tournament brought eight teams into the Recreational Area for a three-day run held on May 18, May 22, and May 29, 2026. Across opening matches, bracket battles, elimination rounds, and a championship night filled with pressure and momentum shifts, employees stepped into the Land of Dawn not only to win but to represent their teams and enjoy a shared company tradition that continues to grow every season.

After a competitive run through the bracket, DRKN emerged as the Season 4 champion, turning preparation and team discipline into a title-winning performance.

Eight Teams, One Season 4 Crown

Season 4 opened with eight participating teams, each bringing their own identity, motivation, and competitive style to the tournament:

  • BackOps
  • Di Magaling Team
  • SK Gaming
  • DRKN
  • TLRBRNDS
  • Team Bombers
  • ExP
  • Chopsuey Esports

To make this season more competitive, the tournament followed a double-elimination format, giving teams a path to recover even after an early loss. The format added more tension to each match, especially as teams moved through the Upper and Lower Brackets with momentum.

The extended format also gave the tournament more room to build its story. Some teams came in with long-standing chemistry, while others formed from different departments, waves, accounts, or schedules. Some prepared seriously after work, while others joined with a lighter mindset, hoping to enjoy the competition and give the crowd a good show.

Opening Day Set the Pace

The tournament officially kicked off on May 18, 2026, with four opening matchups:

TimeMatch
5:00 PM – 6:00 PMSK Gaming vs. ExP
6:00 PM – 7:00 PMTLRBRNDS vs. Team Bombers
7:00 PM – 8:00 PMChopsuey Esports vs. BackOps
8:00 PM – 9:00 PMDi Magaling Team vs. DRKN

From the start, the Recreational Area turned into a small arena where colleagues gathered after work to watch team fights, react to close calls, and support their favorite squads.

The tournament’s official rules helped keep the matches organized and fair, as teams were required to use officially registered players, with each lineup consisting of five to 10 members. Matches were played on mobile devices using Custom Draft Pick, with players expected to follow sportsmanship, fairness, and company conduct standards throughout the competition.

From Bracket Pressure to Championship Night

As the tournament progressed, the stakes rose quickly. Day 2 brought another wave of action as teams fought through the Upper and Lower Brackets, whereas a Lower Bracket loss meant elimination and an Upper Bracket win meant momentum and a cleaner path toward the finals.

By Day 3, only the remaining contenders were left to battle for the championship title. The final day featured a Lower Bracket match between BackOps and Chopsuey Esports, an Upper Bracket match between TLRBRNDS and DRKN, the Lower Bracket Finals, and the Championship Match.

The road to the finals tested more than technical skill, as preparation, communication, drafting, patience, and each team’s ability to stay composed became crucial when one bad call could easily shift the game.

Season 4 Final Results

After the final matches, the official Season 4 winners were announced:

DRKN claimed the Season 4 championship after a run built on preparation, communication, and discipline. TLRBRNDS earned 1st Runner-Up after an impressive journey to the Grand Finals, while Chopsuey Esports secured 2nd Runner-Up with a tournament run marked by teamwork and personality. BackOps rounded out the top four after fighting through the bracket and earning a place among the strongest teams of the season.

Before the Battles: What Brought the Teams Together

Before the champions were crowned, Season 4 already had its own storylines forming behind the scenes. The teams did not enter the tournament with the same motivation, and that difference gave the event much of its personality.

For BackOps, the decision to join came from chemistry built over time.

Jamilton, one of the team captains, shared that they had been playing together for a while and believed that connection could take them far: “Matagal na kasi kami naglalaro and nabuo na rin yung chemistry” (We’ve been playing for a long time, and we already have chemistry). Another captain added that they had been planning to join since the previous year, saying, “Plano na rin talaga namin… last year pa” (We already planned on doing so… all the way from last year).

Their preparation reflected that familiarity. The team did scrims, tested different player combinations, and experimented with team compositions. As Jamilton explained, “Marami kasi kaming member, so from that nagta-try kami ng iba’t ibang chemistry, and team composition kung paano makakalamang sa kalaban” (We have a lot of members, so from that we’ve been trying varying chemistries, and team compositions on how we’ll overtake our opponent). For BackOps, the strategy revolved around both individual skill and finding the right mix and executing it well.

Chopsuey Esports entered with a team identity that matched its name.

Captain Kai explained that the name came from the team’s mix of members from different departments. “The team name is Chopsuey because we came from different departments,” she shared. The team was also formed through last-minute coordination, with members coming together from different groups and connections.

Their preparation was simple, casual, and very much in character. When asked how they prepared, Kai answered, “We just played. That’s all.” A teammate added a lighter detail: “Ang secret namin, nanlibre si Kai ng kape para lang mag-training kaming lahat” (Our secret is that Kai treated us to coffee so we can all train together). The joke became part of the team’s charm, especially when Kai clarified that it was only one coffee.

Chopsuey Esports also kept their mindset grounded in enjoyment. Kai shared that their goal was not only to win but to have fun, give spectators a good show, and enjoy the experience together. “Gusto namin mag-enjoy, bigyan ng magandang show yung mga manonood” (We want to enjoy, give a good show to the audience), she said. The team also joked about wanting to have unlimited Korean BBQ together, turning the tournament into both a competition and a shared memory.

For ExP, the motivation was partly playful and partly competitive.

When asked why the team joined, one member answered directly: “For the cash prize po!” But the team also saw the tournament as a way to test themselves. Christopher, the team’s jungler, shared that they wanted to see whether they could still compete in that kind of environment. “Tina-try namin yung sarili namin if competitive pa ba kami” (We try ourselves to see if we’re still competitive enough), he said.

Their schedules made practice difficult. Members had different shifts, which limited how often they could play together. “Wala talaga kaming preparation” (We really don’t have any preparations), Christopher admitted, describing their practice as around “one game per week.” Still, the team trusted their connection when they did play. Their confidence came through in their message before the games: “Wag kayong papasindak, mas malakas tayo sa kanila” (Don’t panic, we’re stronger than them).

SK Gaming brought the energy of a newer team looking to make a mark.

Captain Kudi described their preparation as less structured and more confidence-driven: “Wala pong preparation, lakas lang ng loob, tapos tiwala sa teammates” (No preparations, just courage, as well as trust in our teammates). For them, the tournament was about trust, skill, and staying relaxed under pressure.

Because they were newer to Reliasourcing, Season 4 gave SK Gaming a chance to be seen. Kudi shared that their mindset was to enjoy the experience and leave an impression: “Since bago po kami sa Reliasourcing, parang gusto po namin mag-iwan ng marka kahit papano” (Since we’re new here at Reliasourcing, we kinda wanted somehow leave a mark). The team identified quick response and map awareness as keys to going far, with both Kudi and Christian pointing to fast rotations and responsiveness as part of their strength.

Team Bombers took a more consistent preparation route.

Captain Heren shared that after work, the team would practice for “2-3 hours a day.” Their reason for joining included the cash prize, but the tournament also created a space for bonding after shift hours.

AJ, who played support or tank, explained what made the team fun to play with: “This is the only bonding that we have after the shift.” For Team Bombers, MLBB was part of how they made time to enjoy something together after work. Their mindset was determined but straightforward. Heren summed it up with, “Laban lang. Kahit matalo, pero lalaban pa rin” (Just fight. Even if defeated, we still fight).

TLRBRNDS joined with collaboration at the center of their story.

Justin, the team captain and jungler, shared that the tournament was a strong engagement opportunity because it allowed members from different accounts, waves, and batches to join forces. “Nakita namin na napakagandang engagement nito para magkaron kami ng collaboration as a team” (We saw what a great engagement this is for our team to have collaboration), he said.

The team wanted to win, but they also treated the tournament as a learning experience. Justin described their mindset as “just having fun,” while still taking the competition seriously. “Serious pa din as much as possible” (Be serious as much as possible), he added, calling it a “learning experience na din as a team” (learning experience for the team). When asked what they were most excited about, one member did not hesitate: “Winning the tournament.”

For DRKN, the tournament began with a familiar purpose: fun, stress relief, and bonding after work.

Christopher, the team captain, explained that Mobile Legends became one way for the team to decompress. “After mag-out kami, yun na yung parang stress reliever namin” (After logging out from work, it’s like our stress reliever), he said. “Yun yung way namin para mabawasan yung mga isipin namin, through ML” (It’s our way to lessen our worries, through ML [Mobile Legends]).

Their preparation, however, was serious. Randel Joe shared that after work, the team practiced their movements, hero combos, drafting choices, and bans. “Pag-out namin, mga 7, nagpa-practice na kami nun” (After logging out, around 7, we practice right away), he said. Practice also included discussions while playing, making the preparation both strategic and social. Before the tournament, Christopher’s message to the team was simple: “Enjoy, chill. Enjoy the time… bonding lang.” Their team simply wanted to enjoy, chill, and have a great time together. (Enjoy, chill. Enjoy the time… let’s just bond together).

DRKN’s Road to the Title

As the bracket narrowed, DRKN’s preparation started to show.

After winning in the Upper Bracket, the team described the feeling as both exciting and nerve-wracking. Christopher said it was “masaya na nakakaba” (joyous but also nerve-wracking) because the team had moved closer to the semifinals and finals. Randel Joe added that winning brought a different kind of excitement, describing the feeling as overwhelming in the best way.

The win did not change DRKN’s approach. They continued preparing the same way: practicing after work, reviewing and drafting, studying good hero combinations, and scouting other players. Christopher explained that their routine continued “every out namin, every morning” (every time we log out from work, every morning) with the team practicing drafting and picking. Randel Joe added that they also scouted other players so they could better understand possible bans and picks.

Their message to the next opponent stayed respectful: “Good luck, have fun.” But beneath that sportsmanship was a team that had clearly built rhythm and discipline across the tournament.

Champions’ Corner: DRKN Reflects on the Win

Winning Season 4 carried extra meaning for DRKN.

After the championship, Christopher’s first reaction captured the weight of the moment: “Sa wakas!” (Finally!) Becoming champions had been a long-time goal for the team. He shared that in the past two years, they had faced conflicts and problems that made it difficult to reach this point. This time, the team felt complete. “Ngayon kasi, nakumpleto namin” (This time, we completed it), he said, pointing to their training and improved lineup as major reasons for the win.

One of the clearest details from DRKN’s championship story was their routine. When the team mentioned “8 o’clock,” Christopher explained that it was their call time after work. “Pagka-out kasi namin, matic 8 o’clock naka-online na kami” (After logging out from work, automatically by 8 o’clock we’re online [in the game]), he said. Then he added one word that summed up the habit: “Disiplina” (Discipline).

When asked what helped them become champions, the answers came from across the team. One member said, “Nagtulong-tulongan na kami” (We helped each other). Others pointed to “communication,” “teamwork,” and the fact that they did not fight during the actual games. Their humor still came through, with one teammate joking that they used up their arguments during practice.

The Reliasourcing MLBSeason 4 Crown goes to DRKN

That balance of discipline, teamwork, and humor made DRKN’s win feel earned. The team did not present the championship as the result of one player carrying the run, as they described it as something built together, through practice, communication, and trust.

The champions also kept the mood light when asked about Season 5. Christopher joked that they would join again “if hindi kami tawagan ng Team Liquid” (if Team Liquid doesn’t call for us), referencing a multi-regional professional esports organization. Another member added that after becoming champions, they should no longer drop from that level: “Dapat hindi na kami bumaba sa champion kung sasali kami ulit” (We shouldn’t go down from being champions should we join again). The team agreed they would have to stand by that standard.

More Than the Final Score

Although Season 4 ended with DRKN at the top, the tournament’s success was not measured by the final standings alone. The event gave employees a chance to meet and connect outside their usual roles.

BackOps leaned on the chemistry they’ve built over many nights of playing together. Chopsuey Esports turned a mixed-department lineup into part of its identity. ExP used the tournament to test its competitive edge. SK Gaming wanted to make a mark as a newer team. Team Bombers treated the game as after-shift bonding. TLRBRNDS saw the tournament as a collaboration across accounts, waves, and batches. DRKN turned stress relief into a championship run.

The mix is what made Season 4 memorable, and the tournament itself created space for laughter, pressure, teamwork, and shared excitement. Spectators had their own role in the experience, filling the venue with support and reactions as teams fought through each match. Organizers kept the event moving, and the players brought the energy that made every round worth watching.

Season 4 continued Reliasourcing’s growing e-sports tradition with a stronger format, more layered team stories, and a champion whose win reflected preparation and perseverance.
